Incense Stick (Smoke) Test
Running Time: 0:06 sec
ToonBoom Harmony
This was for my 2D Effects Animation class with Professor Troy Gustafson.
I was given the task to animate an incense stick similar to the one in Disney's Mulan. I had to use the same animation style, but in my own flight path.
This is the project that I had the most fun with. I really enjoyed the challenge of animating something that is difficult to see in person.
Bouncing Ball Test
Running Time: 0:04 sec
Hand drawn on paper, Flipbook
This was my first assignment from my 2D Effects Animation course with Professor Troy Gustafson. I animated on paper and was given a layout from Disney's Pinocchio for the background.
I enjoyed this project just because I was required to animate on paper again. I feel that this is a necessary tool to help animators grow traditionally. Adding tones and shadows to the perspective was fun to figure out and play with.
Water Splash Test
Running Time: 0:02 sec
ToonBoom Harmony
This is a work-in-progress test that I did for my 2D Effects Animation course with Professor Troy Gustafson. The background image is from Disney's Mulan.
Water is most challenging effect that I had to tackle in this class. I am still working on this project and want to practice animating water in many other forms so I can obtain a better understanding of it.
Fire Torch Test
Running Time: 0:06 sec
ToonBoom Harmony
This is a work-in-progress test that I did for my 2D Effects Animation course with Professor Troy Gustafson.
I completed two fire tests for this assignment and am still unsatisfied. Fire is definitely a fun challenge. I love how easily it can be changed and manipulated by movement and how spontaneous it is.
Walk Cycle
Running Time: 0:01 sec
Autodesk Maya
This was created during my freshman year in my Principles of 3D Animation course.
Maya is a challenge and I am still practicing and polishing my 3D skills. Switching between 3D and 2D is interesting to see how different the programs are.
Jump Test
Running Time: 0:04
Autodesk Maya
This jump assignment was one of my first animation tests using Maya in my Principles of 3D Animation course.
